Ignorance only benefits those who perpetuate the illusion
- Me
Perception , in essence, is the filters that we put over each of our senses which brings the world to us in every aspect in a particular way. People would like to think that every filter is unique to each and every person, that life experiences and information gathered causes every individual to have a one of a kind outlook on life ( this is humorous to me, due to that fact that this means that we as humans have two contradicting desires; To fit into society as and be accepted like any other person. and at the same time we want to think our thoughts are unique which segregates us from the rest of the world). People convince themselves that the places their mind goes is unlike anyone else. Sadly, that is far from the truth.
We are indoctrinated at a young age to view the world in very specific ways. We think that the ideas and goals we desire to achieve come from exploring our minds and fashioning out a path and beginning to follow it. The shocking truth that many people never wake up to realize is that so many of our thoughts and views on life are “birthed” into us. When we break everything we seek to achieve into basic terms, what meaning does everything truly have? What is the point of a nice car, an HD tv, a nice house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, matching towels, a dog, and so many of the other things that we want. We are programmed from the time we are born to be a consumer. By the time we are old enough to purchase the things that are advertised, we are already experts at being apart of the machine that runs the world. People are obsessed by what they own or hope to own. They become defined by it. It takes and writes their entire identity.
” The things you own, end up owning you.”
- Tyler Durden
Unless an individual is lucky to be raised to think with an open mind, all are born into the matrix. Plugged into a reality that is desired for us to see(many times i wonder what forces put this illusion over our eyes, but questions such as that are far too deep for me to think on) . And what is most tragic, is many people stay in that reality, and accept the world as it has always been presented to them. We see and value things as we are taught to. I’m not sure if anyone is reading this, and if haven’t been bored out of your mind by what I have said, I have one piece of advice. QUESTION EVERYTHING. Don’t accept anything you are told until you question it. It may make one nervous to question things they’re taught to never question, but everyone should. TRUTH always stands strong against scrutiny and becomes even stronger afterward because you have sought and found truth on your own, and it isn’t some hazy truth you were spoon fed since you were a baby.
Free your mind, take the red pill.
Society has perfected the art of producing robots. Robots with a nervous system and electrical impulses that tell us what we are feeling and experiencing. This process has already gained so much momentum that it has become an unstoppable force, and although one day the process will implode on itself and something new will come from the ashes , I fear we will never see that day. It may be cynical( I find many of my views turning in that direction) But I think we can’t do anything to fight this machine as a whole. All we can do , is question and gain knowledge. As I said before, Ignorance only benefits those who perpetuate the illusion. So dwelling in ignorance ourselves, or letting others dwell in it is how we lose. Some of the most true words I have ever heard were “Knowledge is Power.” And i find more and more just how true that really is.
